Magic Chef washer-dryer not responding with the door locked: safe checks

Keep the door closed and stop pressing buttons while a Magic Chef washer-dryer is unresponsive and the lock indicator is on. The official Magic Chef/MC Appliance manual for the listed MCSCWD27 and MCSFLW27 family says the door remains locked during a cycle, and says a door that cannot open requires disconnecting power.
