Maytag MED6230HW Dryer Keeps Beeping About the Dial Setting

For the Maytag MED6230HW report, first determine whether the sound is an ordinary cycle or damp-load signal, a selectable audio tone, or a persistent warning that the dial position is not accepted. The exact Reddit report says the display changed with the dial but the warning and beeping continued after an unplugged reset; it has no verified repair result.
