Whirlpool dishwasher broken rack adjuster: stabilize the rack before ordering a part

A broken Whirlpool dishwasher rack adjuster can leave the upper rack uneven, hard to move, or unable to hold dishes safely. Remove the dishes, stop forcing the height buttons or lifting a loaded rack, and inspect the adjuster, wheels, rail, and track stops for visible separation or damage.
