Maytag Bravos XL MCT Burning Smell, Water Leak, and No Spin Mid-Wash

A real burning or electrical odor together with water and a stopped basket is a stop-use event, not a belt, pump, or motor diagnosis. Press stop and wait for all movement to end; from a dry, safe position, close both water faucets and isolate power at the breaker or unplug only when the plug and floor are dry.
