LG Inverter Direct Drive washer clunking during spin: safe checks before service

Do not diagnose a part from the words Inverter Direct Drive or from one clunk. Stop the cycle and wait for the tub to stop, then identify whether the sound was tied to drain/fill, clothing or a visible object, an unbalanced load, an unstable installation, or a persistent impact with no load.
