GE Range Cooktop Bending: Check for Surface Damage and Use a Safe Service Boundary

Do not press on, load, straighten, shim or heat a GE range cooktop that appears bent. With the range off and completely cool, determine whether the cooktop surface itself is cracked, pitted, lifting or visibly bowed, or whether only a removable pan, coil burner, drip pan or trim is out of position.
