Maytag Dishwasher Grinding Noise and Standing Water

A Maytag dishwasher can leave a small amount of water in the filter area, but water covering the tub bottom after a completed cycle together with grinding needs a drain-path check. First cut power at the breaker, remove standing water safely, and inspect the model-appropriate filter or foreign-object cup and visible sump for debris.
