GE Gas Oven Igniter Malfunctioning: Safe Checks Before Service

Treat a GE gas-oven ignition problem as a gas and electrical safety issue, not as proof that the Glo-Bar itself has failed. With no gas odor, boom, flame rollout, or other emergency sign, confirm the bake or broil control, power, gas supply, and—only by the documented visual check—whether the oven igniter glows red when the oven is started.
