Some sparking is normal on a GE gas cooktop: GE says selecting one sealed burner can make multiple igniters spark because they share a spark-control system. The abnormal pattern is clicking with every knob fully OFF, clicking that continues after a burner is lit and the knob is moved from LITE, or clicking after cleaning that does not stop once the appliance dries.
