Frigidaire Dryer Starts Empty but Will Not Start With a Load
If a Frigidaire dryer starts empty but will not start or keep running with clothes inside, first confirm the load is not oversized and that the start control, cycle selector, door, cord, outlet, and breaker are correct. Frigidaire says an overloaded dryer can overheat the motor, recommends an average wet load around one-third to one-half of the drum, and says to let an overheated motor cool for 30 minutes before reducing the load.
