Kenmore Washer Will Not Stop Filling: Shut Off Water Before Service

If a Kenmore washer keeps taking in water or is leaking, close the hot and cold wall supply valves first and stop the washer; if power can be disconnected safely from a dry, undamaged point, isolate it as well. Do not keep running a fill cycle, repeatedly reset the controls, remove the cabinet, or blind-test and replace the inlet valve.
