If an LG heat-pump water heater is not filling, leave its electrical power off and check the cold-water shut-off valve, inlet piping, and trapped air first. The tank must be completely full before power is restored. If the inlet is open but water still will not enter, or a connection leaks, stop and have a qualified installer inspect the supply and tank.

An LG heat-pump water heater can deliver little or no hot water after unusually high demand, a low temperature setting, a tripped safety control, poor air exchange, or loss of electrical supply. Check demand, the displayed setting, breaker, and air filter/clearance from outside the unit. Do not open covers or reset a safety device unless the model procedure and a qualified person permit it.

When an LG water heater will not start, first confirm that the tank is full, the cold-water valve is open, and the dedicated breaker has power. Check the display and external air path without opening the unit. A breaker that will not hold, a damaged cord, water intrusion, smoke, or an unexplained dead display requires qualified service.

“Not working” on an LG water heater can mean no display, no hot water, low recovery, noise, or a leak. Separate those symptoms before changing settings: check the tank and water supply, display/mode, breaker, air filter and clearance, then look for leaks or unusual sounds. Stop using the unit for smoke, odor, flood damage, repeated breaker trips, or internal repair needs.

Treat an LG water heater that appears to be overflowing as a water-safety problem. From a safe position, identify whether water is coming from a connection, condensate drain, tank body, or temperature-and-pressure relief discharge. Shut off water and power if safe, never cap the relief outlet, and call qualified plumbing/service personnel for ongoing discharge or any tank leak.
