1. Check 1

   Stop the dryer, let it finish any safe stop sequence, and identify the water destination without moving the stack: look for the dryer’s removable tank or the visible rear drain hose and note whether water is in the tank, the external tray, or on the floor. Do not remove a tank while a programme is running.

   Expected result: Water is contained in the dryer tank, the visible drain hose leads to a waste pipe or sink, or water is escaping into the tray or onto the floor.

   Next step: If the tank is full, drain it only after the programme has stopped and refit it fully. If water is outside the tank or drain route, keep the dryer off and continue with the visible hose check; do not run another load to test a leak.

2. Check 2

   With the dryer off and cool, inspect only the visible drain hose path. Confirm the hose is attached at the dryer connection and at the wastewater drain or washbasin, is not folded or stepped on, and has not slipped out of its receiving pipe. Follow the exact model manual if the connection is hidden by the installation.

   Expected result: The hose is securely connected and clear, or it is loose, folded, displaced, or visibly damaged.

   Next step: Do not reach behind or under a stacked set if doing so requires moving an appliance. Ask building maintenance or an authorised installer to correct a loose, damaged or inaccessible hose and to verify the drain height and connection.

   Why: The opened Blomberg manual says the hose must be securely connected, not folded, and routed to the wastewater drain or washbasin; it warns that a connection coming out during discharge can flood the house.

3. Check 3

   Check the dryer display or indicators for a water-tank warning after the machine is stopped. If the installed model uses a tank, empty it according to its manual and seat it completely; if it uses direct drainage, do not assume the tank warning can be cleared by emptying an unrelated tray.

   Expected result: A water-tank warning is present and clears after the tank is correctly emptied, or the warning remains / no tank is accessible while external water continues to appear.

   Next step: Make at most one empty test after the visible tank or hose issue is corrected. If water returns to the tray, the warning remains, or the tank arrangement does not match the manual, leave the dryer off and contact maintenance or authorised service.

   Expected result: The approved stacking kit and installation record are available, or the kit/installation cannot be confirmed and the water tray is filling.

   Next step: If the kit or installation is uncertain, stop using the stack and ask building maintenance or a qualified installer to inspect it. Do not try to make the stack safe by adding a generic tray, strap or hose extension.
