Gladiator Refrigerator Repair Guides

Start with the refrigerator door itself: remove any package, bottle, shelf, bin, crisper cover, or remaining shipping material that projects into the closing path, then check that the gasket is clean and contacts the cabinet all the way around.

A light, short-lived frost film can follow humid air entering a refrigerator, a recent warm load, or a normal defrost cycle. First record the sound, its location, whether it happens continuously or only during cooling, defrost, door opening, or loading, and whether the refrigerator is still cooling normally.

First determine whether both sections are warm, only the refrigerator section is warm, or the unit is in a control state that leaves lights on but cooling off. On the opened Gladiator manual for the GARF30FDGB/GAFZ30FDGB family, hold the documented TEMP SETTING control for 3 seconds to turn cooling on or off; the interior light can still operate when cooling is off.

Stop repeatedly resetting the breaker and do not substitute a larger fuse or breaker. From a dry, safe position, note whether the Gladiator refrigerator trips immediately when plugged in, only when the compressor or fan starts, after it has run, or only when other garage loads are operating.
