If an ASKO dryer cycle is not completing, first decide whether it ends early with damp clothes, runs much longer than expected, or remains running after the load is dry. Some ASKO programs intentionally stop before fabric is completely dry, while Sensi Dry programs adjust time and stop when the machine detects that clothes are dry.

An Asko dryer can make normal operating sounds: its manual describes compressor humming or flowing-liquid noise, compressor ventilation buzzing, condensate-pump or liquid-flow sounds, heat-exchanger cleaning clicks, and rattling from hard items such as buttons or zippers in the laundry. First note when the sound begins and whether it follows the load, programme stage, or cooling period.

If an ASKO T208CW condenser dryer warms but the clothes remain damp, treat it first as a drying-result problem rather than assuming the heater has failed. Use a suitable Auto drying program and an appropriate load, then switch the dryer off and clean the door net filter.

If your ASKO dryer is not heating, first confirm the selected program and note whether the drum still tumbles. With the dryer off and cool, clean the door lint filter and, if fitted, the heat-pump filter; empty the condensate tank and check its drain path.

If an Asko dryer has power but the drum is not spinning, first check that the door is fully closed, the programme was started as the model requires, Delay Start or Lock is not active, and—on condenser or heat-pump models—the condensate tank is not full. A clogged lint filter can raise temperature and make the dryer stop; clean the user-accessible filter, let the dryer cool, and retry once as the manual directs.

If an ASKO dryer will not turn on, first check the external switch or plug, close the door fully, select a program and press the documented Start/Pause control, then cancel any delayed start or lock mode shown on the display. For condenser or heat-pump models, check the user-accessible lint filter and condensate tank; if the dryer still stays dead, trips power, overheats, or shows a persistent fault, stop and arrange qualified service rather than opening the cabinet.

An Asko dryer that is not working may be losing power, waiting for a valid start, blocked by an open door or active delay/lock state, stopped by a full condensate tank on applicable models, or protecting itself from heat caused by dirty filters or restricted airflow. First identify whether the display is blank, the programme is idle, the drum stops during a cycle, or the dryer runs but does not dry.

If an Asko dryer is overheating, stop the cycle and let it cool before checking anything. Clean the user-accessible door lint filter and, on heat-pump models, the lower lint filter or heat-exchanger filter exactly as the model manual describes; check that the front air intake, external exhaust, and room ventilation are not blocked, and reduce an overloaded or very wet load.
