Stop the Haier dryer and let it cool if the sound is accompanied by a burning smell, smoke, scraping, metal-on-metal contact, a loose drum, or excessive shaking. With power off and the drum stopped, remove loose objects from the drum, check that the load is not overfilled, confirm the dryer is level and all four feet support it, and make sure the door closes completely.

Start by identifying the Haier dryer architecture. A heat-pump or condenser dryer collects moisture in a water tank and may use an external drain hose; empty and reseat the tank, then check the applicable hose for a kink, clog, or incorrect connection.

If a Haier dryer leaves clothes damp, first determine whether the drum tumbles and whether the load is warm at all. Check that the selected cycle is intended to heat, the drum is not overfilled, the lint filter is clean, and the visible external vent is not blocked.

A Haier dryer may be intentionally running without heat when Rack Dry or Air Dry is selected. Confirm a heat-enabled cycle, identify whether the dryer is gas or electric, and check only the external power and airflow items that are safe to access.

When a Haier dryer will not turn on, first separate a completely dark control panel from a dryer that powers up but will not start. Check the wall outlet and household protection device safely, make sure the door is fully closed, clear any load that prevents closure, and check whether Pause, Delay, Key Lock, or a displayed warning is holding the cycle.

Stop using a Haier dryer that is unusually hot, smells scorched, smokes, or trips its protection. After it is off and cool, clean the lint filter, inspect the accessible exhaust outlet and duct for lint or blockage, reduce an overloaded load, and confirm the selected cycle is appropriate.
