On a Miele 7000 Series dishwasher, first separate a removable film from glass that has been permanently altered. Miele's support guidance says wipeable clouding can be associated with low rinse-aid dosage, an empty or incorrectly capped salt reservoir on models with a water softener, unsuitable or incorrectly dosed detergent, or a water-softener setting that is too low.

A bad smell in a Miele dishwasher usually calls for a cleaning-and-use check before a parts diagnosis. Do not leave dirty dishes inside for long periods; clean food residue from the door seal and door edges, clean the wash-cabinet filters and spray arms, and regularly run a higher-temperature program.

A beeping Miele dishwasher is a signal, not a diagnosis. Read the display or flashing indicator before restarting it: a drainage message can accompany an alarm tone, while a door, water-intake, or program condition can stop a cycle for a different reason. Stop the machine and arrange service if the tone returns with a fault code, water under the appliance, burning odor, or a breaker trip.

Note exactly when the Miele dishwasher stops: before filling, during washing, while draining, or near the end. Stop a Miele dishwasher leak before troubleshooting. Dry the floor and identify whether water appears at the door, underneath, or near a drain connection. A door that cannot close or a pump cover that does not engage can leak for different reasons. Do not run the machine with water near electrical parts; arrange service for a damaged hose, recurring leak, or any leak whose source is hidden.

The timing and location of a Miele dishwasher noise are more useful than the word ‘loud.’ A knock in the wash cabinet can come from a spray arm touching a dish, while rattling can come from loose dishware or a foreign object in the drain pump. Pause safely, identify the stage, and arrange service for a new grinding sound, damaged part, leak, or noise that remains after the accessible checks.

If water remains in a Miele dishwasher, switch it off before reaching into the wash cabinet. Miele lists an improperly closed door, unplugged appliance, tripped breaker, missing program selection, and closed faucet as ordinary start barriers. Correct one accessible condition and retry once; a recurring failure, code, smell, leak, or breaker trip needs service.

First identify what ‘not turning off’ means on the Miele dishwasher: a fan or pump may continue briefly, a program may still be running, or the controls may ignore the Off command. Note the display, water level, and sound. Do not order a generic Miele rail lock from the phrase alone. Miele's official dishwasher support uses the term safety clips for the two cutlery-tray runners and says that, after the cutlery tray is removed, a wrongly oriented clip can be pressed together and inserted into the rail again.

Visible sparks, a flash, or a crackling sound from a Miele dishwasher is not a normal cleaning symptom. Stop the program, keep the appliance off, and isolate power only from a dry, accessible control point. Do not open the housing or keep testing it; first record whether the event came from the outlet, cord, controls, or wash chamber, then arrange qualified electrical or Miele service.

For a Miele G 4670 SC Vi dishwasher whose detergent dispenser does not open, wait until the program has ended and the cabinet is cool, then check only the visible loading and dispenser conditions. Miele says residue can obstruct the dispenser catch, the compartment must be dry when detergent is added, and a large item in front of the dispenser can block the lid or water jets.

A power resistor that has exploded or burned on a Miele G 5141 dishwasher PCB is an electrical-failure and fire/shock warning, not a safe resistor-replacement job. Switch the dishwasher off and disconnect it from power if that can be done without touching exposed conductors, smoke, heat or damaged wiring.

Miele identifies the G 6365 SCVi as a Dimension fully integrated dishwasher, and its G 1xxx–G 6xxx drainage guidance covers the impeller inspection used here. Turn the dishwasher off and unplug it before removing standing water, the filter combination, or the non-return valve.

On a Miele G2182, do not treat “all lights flashing” as a diagnosis of one part. First record exactly which indicators flash, whether the intake/drain indicator is also involved, whether the machine beeps or drains, and how far into the wash this occurs.

Do not run the Miele G 575 SC Excellent with a salt-reservoir cap that is loose, cracked or missing. Turn the dishwasher off, allow it to cool, and inspect only the accessible cap and reservoir opening for salt caught on the threads or a visibly displaced seal.
